Assistant Parts Manager Responsibilities
Assist General Parts Manager in day to day functions and staff of the parts department at multiple locations, including parts sales, shipping and receiving, marketing, and policy.
Train, develop, and evaluate parts staff including hiring and firing recommendations
Oversee inventory control and content of the locations, including producing stock orders and organizing supplier returns.
Oversee maintenance of parts price files
Oversee parts related shipping and receiving
Oversee accounts payable process for parts related invoices with company
Achieve all of the above while reducing costs and continuously improving customer service.
Promoting an extreme sense of urgency
Developing strong relationships with appropriate upper management personnel at the manufacturers we represent
Outsourcing for improved margins
Monitor open quotes to assure proper follow up.
Also monitoring and being proactive on these Key Performance Indicators:
Availability off the shelf
Stock orders vs. emergency orders by manufacturer
Tracking and analyzing lost sales
