Assistant Operations Manager
ACRT Pacific has an opportunity for an Assistant Operations Manager in Sierra Region- Grass Valley, Auburn, Placerville, California. This role assists in planning, directing, coordinating, and managing the operations of ACRT Pacific. Additionally, the Assistant Operations Manager serves as the liaison between the field, corporate office, and the client, ensuring operational objectives are accomplished through safety, productivity, work quality, and profit.
The candidate is required to live within the area of responsibility or relocate within a reasonable distance. If the candidate is must relocate, this must be completed within 90 days of the hire date.
Essential Duties:
Attends and conducts meetings to ensure the terms and conditions of the contract are being met
Starts new contracts and is responsible for assisting sales team
Submits and/or reviews time sheets, job cost, project financials, audit, productivity, and project expense reports
Assists operations manager with annual budget preparation
Monitors job cost and budget
Attains profit and quality objectives
Directs supervisors on the training of employees on safety, contract specifications, and scopes of work
Assists operations manager with resource utilization and schedule adherence
Coordinates work schedules
Prepares documents, reports, analysis, and presentations
Assists in safety incident and fire investigations
This position is part of a rotation
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education
Required:
2- or 4-year degree in Forestry, Horticulture, Natural Resources, or related field, OR 2 years of experience in utility forestry in lieu of degree
Preferred:
4-year degree in Forestry, Horticulture, Natural Resources
ISA Certification (if certification not held, must acquire upon eligibility)
Experience
Required:
1 year of experience in a supervisory role
Preferred:
2 years of experience in a supervisory role
1 year of experience in a supervisory role within a PG&E contract
Desired Skills:
Must be willing to travel (potentially overnight) when required
Strong oral and written communication skills
Map interpretation; preform data collection using various software platforms
Basic use of Excel (sum, totals, simple formulas) and Outlook; proficient in Microsoft Word

Salary Range Disclaimer
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the ACRT Pacific salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to customer contact terms, location, experience, and performance. Other rewards may include Paid Time Off, 401(k) retirement savings plan with company match, ESOP contributions, medical, dental, and vision insurance, and other region-specific benefits as eligible.
Salary Range Transparency
For applicants residing in California, the salary range for this role is from $114,000 per year to $119,000 per year.
