Broward Health Medical Center is a 716-bed, state-of-the-art Level I Trauma Center and Ft. Lauderdale's largest healthcare facility.
Full Time eligible position 80 hours per pay period. Varied nights 7pm-7:30am.
Weekend vary. Completion of a Nursing program from an accredited school of Nursing. Current State of Florida Registered Nurse license required.
Current BLS and PALS cards from American Heart Association required.
CPHON certification strongly preferred; APHON 2 day Biotherapy/Chemotherapy certification required.
Experience in a Hospital Care setting within the past 3 years strongly preferred.
At least two years of previous Hospital Peds RN experience preferred in Acute care setting. Proven management/leadership ability and supervisory experience required. Prior pediatric hematology oncology inpatient care experience required.
Excellent Customer service and communication skills a plus. Reports to the Nurse Manager and is responsible for assisting with planning, administering and evaluating twenty four hour operation of a single nursing unit.in doing so, is assigned duties based on patients needs, staffing availability. Attends patient rounds with physicians, answer questions regarding patients condition, receives physicians orders and notes patient charts. Directs preparation and maintenance of patients clinical records.
