Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC) is an 808-bed hospital in downtown Orlando and the flagship medical center of Orlando Health. ORMC is proud to be home to Central Florida's only Level One Trauma Center, which sees more than 85,000 patients per year including 3,400 major trauma cases. ORMC's life-saving surgical and medical care is available, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The Medicine Department's function is to provide quality, patient/family centered, and holistic care to the medical patients. Comprehensive care is provided on a 24 hour, 7 day a week basis for a 21 bed private bed unit. Clinical activities include: Patient assessment, IV therapy, antibiotic therapy, blood/blood products administration, pain management, respiratory therapy, moderate sedation, blood glucose monitoring, wound and skin care, O2 pulse oximetry monitoring, remote telemetry, patient and family education and discharge planning.

We are currently seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager to work in our Medicine Unit at Orlando Regional Medical Center with the following qualifications:

  • Experience

  • Two (2) years of experience as a registered nurse in the acute care setting.

  • Licensure/Certification

  • Maintains current professional license as a registered nurse in the State of Florida. Maintains current BLS; as determined by specialty area ACLS, PALS, NALS, or TNCC.

  • Education/Training

  • Graduate from an approved school of nursing with a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing degree.

NOTE: Full Time (40 hours per week). Night shift. Schedules may include weekends and holidays.

The Clinical Assistant Nurse Manager is responsible for the day to day operations within the clinical setting to ensure delivery of quality service and optimal patient flow.

Delivery of care includes a multidisciplinary team approach consisting of physicians, nursing staff, and other hospital ancillary personal. This team approach is designed to meet the needs of patient's awaiting an inpatient bed. The Direct Admit Unit is located on 8A in South Tower. The Unit consists of 16 remote telemetry beds; open 24/7, including holidays.
