Stamford Health is looking for an Assistant Nurse Manager to join their exciting new department, Observation/Overflow!
The Assistant Nurse Manager is a key leadership role that provides clinical oversight and coordination of nursing operations on assigned shifts and units. They are responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care, positive patient experience, and financially responsible operations, while also promoting a culture of safety, respect, and teamwork.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm, rotating weekends
Here are the key responsibilities and expectations:
Clinical Leadership:
Provides clinical supervision to nursing staff on assigned shift and unit(s)
Coordinates unit clinical operations with other departmental disciplines
Oversees patient care and nursing practice on assigned shift and unit(s)
Accountability:
Responsible for delivering high-quality clinical outcomes
Focuses on positive patient experience
Ensures financially responsible operations
Acts as a leadership extension of the Nurse Manager
Key Responsibilities:
Delivers high-quality patient care
Engages with staff in a consistent and effective manner
Coordinates with other departments to ensure seamless care delivery
Adheres to hospital policies and procedures, including the Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program
Hospital Culture:
Provides safe and therapeutic care
Demonstrates values inherent in the hospital culture
At least 3 years recent clinical experience
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing
Current CT RN License
Clinical specialty or leadership certification strongly preferred.
Recent clinical or leadership experience
