Assistant New Car/Truck Manager

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ability to effectively manage all areas of the sales department, including but not limited to retail sales, purchasing and trading inventory and marketing vehicles

  • Experience with internet and retail tools, IE: V-auto, Dealer socket

  • Ability to make sales calls and make appointments for your department and team

  • Ability to forecast goals and objectives for vehicle sales, gross and key expenses on a monthly and annual basis

  • Possess strong closing and coaching abilities

  • Understands and keeps abreast of federal, state, and local regulations

  • Ability to handle and resolve customer issues or concerns promptly and professionally

  • Ensure high standards are held for delivery of vehicles to customers

  • Ensure that sales representatives understand and follow dealership policies at all times

  • Excellent communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with customers; subordinates and other management

  • Ability to train and be a leader to your sales team - An effective manager is a great leader!

Qualifications:

  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented and enthusiastic presence in a team environment

  • Strong written and communication skills

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word)

  • ADP Dealer Services Experience a plus

  • Consistent and stable work history

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record

  • Professional appearance and work ethic

  • New Vehicle Management Experience is a requirement

  • Must have 3 years minimum of automobile sales experience

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required

  • All potential employees must pass pre-employment testing including a background check and drug screen

In this role, you will primarily be responsible for supervising and performing maintenance and recovery operations on wheeled vehicles in the field and in the shop. Your duties will include inspecting, servicing, maintaining, repairing, testing, adjusting, and replacing of systems and components; performing recovery operations, and servicing electrical systems; including wiring harness and charging systems. Job Duties * Maintain wheeled vehicles associated trailers and material handling equipment systems * Service automotive electrical systems, including wiring harness, and starting and charging systems Helpful Skills * Interest in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical problems * Interest in automotive engines and how they work Through your training, you will develop the skills and experience to enjoy a civilian career with service stations, auto dealers, farm equipment companies, and state highway agencies. You'll be able to pursue a career as a mechanic who works on carburetors, transmissions, radiators, construction equipment, or endless track vehicles. Earn While You Learn Instead of paying to learn these skills, get paid to train. In the Army National Guard, you will learn these valuable job skills while earning a regular paycheck and qualifying for tuition assistance. Job training requires 10 weeks of Basic Training, where you'll learn basic Soldiering skills, and 13 weeks of Advanced Individual Training (AIT).
