Job Summary:
To value and promote the worth of each participant while effectively leading players and staff to achieve their individual and collective potential. In addition, our head coach is expected to foster the development of our athletic program throughout our educational and local community.
This is being posted as a stand alone coaching position.
Qualifications:
Must pass background check
Current Red Cross First Aid/CPR Card
Previous coaching experience
Twenty-one years old
Available daily 3:00-6:00 P.M.
Must take WIAA online courses and complete WSD assistant coach checklists
Must be current with WIAA coaching clock hours
Be able to pass screening test to provide transportation for student athletes
Such alternatives to the above requirements and desirable qualifications may be made as the district finds appropriate.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Become familiar with and promote the core values of the WHS Athletic Program
Organize and carry out all practices
Effectively manage a program and staff
Assist with game day preparation
Report directly to Principal, Athletic Director
Regular and punctual attendance
Other duties may be assigned
Physical Demands:

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as to read handwritten or typed material, and the ability to adjust focus. The position requires the individual to meet multiple demands from several people and interact with the public and other staff.
Work Environment:
Work is predominantly in athletic rooms and outside on athletic field(s). Temperature - normal climate, occasional adverse weather conditions.The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
