Assistant Men's and Women's Tennis Coach (9 month appointment): The Assistant Coach, working under the direct supervision of the Head Tennis Coach, will be a valued member of the athletics staff and will contribute to the mission of UWL's Intercollegiate Athletics Program: Building Champions, In Sport, In School, In Life.

They will provide support to the Tennis team in all areas needed for the program to be successful including the athletic, academic, and personal development of the Eagle student-athletes. Assistance with recruiting, social media, practice, competition preparation, travel, equipment and other administrative tasks as assigned. The person will also help with the organization and execution of all home tennis events. The Assistant Coach must conduct themselves in such a way as to enhance respect for the University, the Department, UWL track & field programs and UWL student athletes.

Fieldhouse Facilities & Events Coordinator (12 month appointment): The Fieldhouse Facilities & Events Coordinator will hold a 50% appointment on a 12 month basis and is an essential member of the Athletics department staff as they will administer all aspects of home events and special departmental events in addition to assist in the managing of the Athletic Facilities. This position requires that the Fieldhouse Facilities & Events Coordinator effectively communicate with all staff members to create the highest quality home event environment for the 21 intercollegiate teams including all post-season events.

  • Bachelor's Degree.

  • Coaching experience in tennis OR participation at high school level or above.

  • Possess a valid driver's license.

  • Experience with or demonstrated knowledge of facility or event management.

  • Interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • One to three years experience in facility or event management.

  • Knowledge of NCAA Division III and WIAC rules.

  • Experience working with diverse populations.

  • Collegiate coaching or participation experience.

  • Collegiate recruiting experience.

  • Self-directed

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Working conditions and environment

  • Adhere to all rules of the NCAA, WIAC, and the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

  • Evening and weekend hours are required.

  • Travel for recruitment activities is required. The ability to have and maintain a valid driver's license meeting the criteria for driving a vehicle on University/State business is required. Driver Authorization required upon hire.

Miscellaneous Information

Attendance at athletics department meetings, appropriate WIAC and/or NCAA meetings or job-related clinics and conferences required as needed.
