Rockhurst University is seeking applications for a part-time Assistant Men's Volleyball Coach. Assistant Men's Volleyball Coach is responsible for the support of the operations of the men's volleyball program, including, but not limited to, the recruitment of student-athletes, practice and contest planning, video analysis, social media maintenance, player skill development, fundraising, academic monitoring, game management, and other duties as assigned. The first year of intercollegiate competition will be 2024-25.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Perform duties as assigned by the Head Coach.

• Field a competitive team that assists with enrollment goals.

• Plan, organize, direct, and assist with the operations for the men's volleyball program.

• Recruit academically and athletically qualified student-athletes.

• Assist with the planning and implementation of instructional practices that maximize the talent and potential of student-athletes, while instilling values such as, sportsmanship, leadership, and personal wellness.

• Demonstrate the ability to relate to, and motivate, student-athletes and to work with a variety of University staff, alumni, and the outside community.

• Commitment to compliance and knowledge of NCAA and GLVC rules.

• Promote the mission of the Athletic Department and Rockhurst University

• Must have excellent leadership and communication skills

• Bachelor's Degree

• 2+ years coaching experience
