Rowman & Littlefield is looking for an Assistant Marketing Manager for its Academic Marketing team. The Assistant Marketing Manager will be responsible for marketing communication campaigns, assisting with budgeting, and audience research. This position is based at the company headquarters in Lanham, MD. This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities
Assist with creating, implementing, and tracking marketing campaigns across all media (direct mail, digital communication, and events), including copyediting, list research, and coordination with Editorial, Creative Services, and Strategic Engagement teams.
Maintain databases with marketing campaign information.
Track monthly project budget expenses and provide accurate expense reporting.
Assist in the planning, staffing, and promotion of R&L products at several annual academic conferences (virtual and in-person), including tracking and reporting on participation.
Create print and digital promotional materials for authors.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, or related field
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High level of attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects at various stages
Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Acrobat
Travel - 10% within the US and Canada
