Tuff Shed is recruiting for an experienced and highly motivated Assistant Manager to contribute to the success of our Charlotte Factory Store. This position offers the opportunity to make a real impact to the Store and the Company.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO BE A SUCCESSFUL TUFF SHED ASSISTANT MANAGER?

  • We're seeking a driven and experienced Assistant Manager who can help lead our high volume Operations and Sales team

  • Proven leadership skills will be required ensure we meet and beat the Store's financial and operations targets

  • A real people manager, with hands-on experience recruiting, training and managing staff

  • A focus on customer service excellence and an understanding of the importance of "leading by example"

  • Experience in working in an industrial environment is required. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for scheduling sub-contractors, managing inventory and our fleet, and overall safety in the Store

  • This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Assistant manager with hands-on knowledge of the people management and the industry

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Experience building and managing a team and meeting challenging operational and sales targets; also preferred, experience with sub-contractors

  • Proven safety management experience, including: OSHA; fire prevention; machine and tool usage; PPE; Hazard communication; lifting techniques; fork lift; electrical safety; fall protection; and safety training documentation management

  • Inventory and fleet management experience

  • Background in and understanding of financials, including GL and/or P&L statements

  • Strong PC skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook; CRM experience highly preferred

  • Successful background networking and growing long-term business partnerships; ability to deal with multiple issues, growing trust and solving problems

  • Must possess a current valid driver's license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report

You'll assist the drive-in restaurant's General Manager in managing drive-in operations. You will also be involved in training and supporting other employees to ensure we provide quality food in a clean, safe and efficient manner. We want every guest to have an enjoyable dining experience every time they come to SONIC. \n\nBasic job duties for the drive-in restaurant's Assistant Manager include:\n\tManages, trains, monitors and coaches Team / Crew Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops\n\tDirects and assigns drive-in restaurant employees as needed to ensure all aspects of food service meet operational standards\n\tAdheres to and monitors employee compliance of the drive-in restaurant employee handbook, policies and practices\n\tPerforms restaurant opening and/or closing duties\n\tMonitors and makes appropriate adjustments to staffing levels, inventory levels and food cost control \n\tCompletes weekly inventory as needed\n\tAssists in administrative duties including maintaining files, records and all required documentation\n\tReinforces a customer service mentality and ensures all employees are focused on serving the customer at all times. \n\tImmediately and respectfully responds to guest requests. Reports guest complaints to immediate supervisor and assists in resolving such complaints.\n\nSONIC Drive-In Assistant Manager Requirements:\n\tAbility to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays\n\tGeneral knowledge and understanding of the restaurant industry or retail operations required\n\tMinimum of six months of restaurant management experience (QSR) or one year entry level retail management experience required.
