Atlantic Health System is seeking an Asst Mgr, Sourcing Contracting to work at corporate location in Morristown. This incredible opportunity is full time and will require the following working every Monday - Friday from 8am to 4pm; a total of 37.5 hours a week.
Manages a dynamic team of individuals responsible for Contracting.
Manages the process of contract negotiations with the sourcing analysts and vendor representatives.
Conducts successful negotiations leading to the most advantageous contract for AHS. Directs the efforts of the sourcing analysts to prepare, coordinate and conduct the negotiations consistent with AHS policies and legal requirements.
Assists the sourcing analysts in continually developing greater product expertise while researching competitor products for critical elements of information which need to be included in the contract terms and conditions.
Anticipates the expiration of contracts through the efficient management of the contract renewal process using reports and MSCM information to support the process and help with decision support.
Assures contracts are renewed prior to expiration.
Routinely audits current vendor contracts.
Responsible for cost effective procurement and delivery of material and services taking into consideration the quality and value of the products and the ability of the vendor to respond quickly to changing supply requirements.
Responsible for the selection of suppliers that can act as long-term partners and help the company meet its growth objectives.
Creates and maintains a Quarterly Business review program for AHS's top 40 vendors.
Develops a standard format for all vendors to follow.
Complete all assignments, projects, & reports successfully and on time w/o supervisor follow up.
Continuously meets short deadlines while maintaining technical quality of the results. Develops and implements long term sourcing strategies (3 5-year plan).
Create a bid calendar for all products and services to include one, two and three year targets, communicates the calendar to management at all sites.
Responsible for drafting RFP's.
Analyzes industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base issues to minimize risk, protects continuity of supply, and exploit emerging opportunities that benefit AHS.
Prepares presentations for management which serves to enhance the understanding of the actions taken by Strategic Sourcing to improve Atlantic Health's financial results.
Perform analysis of Strategic Sourcing activities and prepare reports for managers and executives which assist in the decision process.
Assist in the interpretation of data generated by reports as needed
Monitors staff performance levels for high competency and motivation.

Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree preferred
Or Minimum 5 year Managing Contracting in a Hospital environment
Minimum Experience Required:
Must be experienced in managing a large team 10+ people.
Must have a deep and thorough understanding of excel and excel based functions (Vlookup, Pivot, etc)
