Assistant Warehouse Manager
Location: Tampa, FL
Department: Supply Chain and Logistics
Reports to: Distribution Manager
JOB SUMMARY:
The Assistant Warehouse Manager is responsible for handling the daily operations of the warehouse. This includes production, inventory control, freight, shipping, and receiving. The AWM must maintain high levels of accuracy in day-to-day operations as well as lead and develop the warehouse team members to provide impeccable customer service. In collaboration with the sales and sales support teams, the AWM will ensure business orders are processed timely.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
In accordance with company policy and standards:
Assist with warehouse operations to ensure quality and timeliness targets are met for shipments and inventory levels remain accurate
Pick, pack, and ship orders in a timely manner to ensure shipments arrive to our customers on time
Receive incoming shipments daily to ensure accuracy of purchase orders, maintain quality control, and keep inventory properly organized
Participate in inventory counts as needed to ensure accuracy or inventory levels
Respond to website customers as needed who have a question about the status of their shipment
Effectively communicate with sales time to prioritize and provide updates on time-sensitive shipments as needed
Work with manager to interview and hire distribution associates
Provide feedback and leadership to distribution associates
Work directly with other facility leaders to ensure all company policies are followed
Work with direct manager on design and implementation of new processes to improve department efficiency
Facilitate and monitor the movement (both physically and electronically) of:
All incoming medicated and non-medicated items
All outgoing items for both internal distribution and wholesale clients
Ongoing communication with inventory supervisor, manufacturing, and sales teams regarding any customer concerns, product concerns, or items requiring follow-up.
Use METRC to create packages and conversions needed for sale
Maintain compliance on all incoming & outgoing items through METRC
Create and maintain reporting tools as required for distribution
Create manifests for all outgoing products on both internal transfer and wholesale orders with all compliance relevant information
Packaging orders that are coordinated from sales department
Coordinate with couriers to schedule pickups
Compliance paperwork for orders (manifests, invoices, COA, etc.)
Assist in management of local inventory responsibilities, carried out by the inventory supervisor
Work with inventory associate to assist on inventory/audit tasks:
Issue supplies from warehouse to departments as needed
Production mylars/jars/packaging materials
Cultivation minerals and supplies
PPE and facility supply
Inform manager of supply needs for order
Conduct cycle counts weekly
Cycle counts on bulk flower/trim
Cycle counts on raw materials/packaging
Cycle counts on finished/packaged goods
Operate a forklift to assist in loading/unloading
Other duties as assigned by manager
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in relevant course of study is desirable
Excellent verbal communications and customer service skills
Experience with Microsoft Suite
Possession of, or ability to obtain, forklift certification as required by the state, the union, and/or OSHA
Willingness to go above and beyond for our customers and for the team
Must have a flexible schedule and be able to adapt on short notice based on customer needs -long shifts and some weekends may be required
Ability to successfully handle high stress situations
Able to work in a team and independently
Able to work in a fast-moving environment
Self-driven with strong organizational skills; attention to detail
Ability to communicate through various formats including phone and email
ADDITIONAL MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum High School or G.E.D equivalent is required
Must be a minimum of 21 years of age (or a minimum of 18 years of age in CT, PA and WV)
Must be legally qualified to work in the US
Must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening
Must have reliable transportation
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance.
Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks.
Must be able to handle organic matter daily, able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection), and able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater).
Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as reading, viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts/details.
Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc. (Moderate noise).
Salary will be commensurate with experience. A comprehensive benefits package including paid time off is offered with this position. This position will work an average of 40 hours per week and will be available "after hours" if an emergency situation should arise.
