Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Greet members, prospective members and guests, providing exceptional customer service.
Lead by example and maintain consistent accountability for direct reports by training and coaching, ensuring adherence to Planet Fitness's values: Integrity, Transparency, Passion, Respect, Excellence, While having fun!
Assist in recruiting, hiring, training and developing a high performing staff consisting of Member Service Representatives, Trainers and Custodians.
Assist in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all members, prospective members and guests and ensuring staff follows superior customer service guidelines.
"Hands on" management style, focusing on all aspects of excellent customer service and leading the team of associates to do the same.
Assist with Staff Management and provide backup support to Club Manager as needed.
Assist in scheduling and supervising staff.
Member service oversight - Ensuring staff is providing a superior customer experience at all times.
Assist in resolving or escalating employee issues or concerns.
Involved in all front desk related activities including:
Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with a variety of questions.
Check members in promptly and prioritize attention to members.
Sign up new members.
Take prospective members on tours.
Facilitate all member requests, issues and questions.
Assists in attaining member and revenue goals. (Does this include PE@PF and BCM?)
Facilitate needed updates to members' accounts.
Assist in maintaining the neatness and cleanliness of the club, including locker room facilities.
Thoroughly clean and sanitize restrooms, locker room areas, fitness equipment and gym floor.
Stock locker rooms with proper supplies/paper products.
Report any broken or missing amenities or equipment (Toilets, faucets, showers, gym equipment etc.) to the Club Manager and Maintenance staff immediately.
Follow "Lost and Found Policy" and turn in lost member property to the Club Manager immediately.
Assist in ordering of supplies using specific budget based on club requirements.
Assist in tracking statistics and reports (weekly, monthly, and annually).
Backup support for any employee who is absent.
Superior customer service skills, preferably in the fitness industry.
Experience working as a Member Service Representative at Planet Fitness.
Solid supervisory, diplomacy and listening skills.
Basic computer proficiency, Microsoft Word, Excel.
Hard working, enthusiastic and energetic!
Strong problem resolution skills.
Must be available Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 2-10pm, Thursday or Friday afternoon/evening and Saturday or Sunday varied shifts, and as staffing demands require.
Current CPR Certification required.
High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
Must be 18 year of age or older.
Continual standing and walking during shift.
Continual talking in person or on the phone during shift.
Must be able to regularly lift 25 lbs.
Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
Will occasionally encounter toxic chemicals during shift.
Continual reaching with hands/fingers/arms during shift.
Occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling and crouching during shift.
Will encounter cleaning chemicals, and need to use cleaning chemicals, during shift.
Regular use of backpack style vacuum and mopping during shift.
