Description
Objective: The Assistant Manager of Clinical Services will oversee the Internship Program, and Intake Line. Acts in a leadership capacity in the absence of the manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage, maintain, and grow an extensive internship program utilizing associate, bachelor, and master level students from surrounding area schools to enhance service delivery.
Recruit, screen, interview, and train clinical counselors and Intake Line interns.
Carry half a caseload of adult counseling clients as directed by supervisor.
Manage and maintain the Intake Line.
Serve in on-call rotation with Manager of Clinical Services.
Ensure documentation in records is accurate, complete, and submitted on time. Monitor and audit intern documentation process in accordance with agency policies and funding requirements.
Provide weekly individual supervision and assist with the facilitation of clinical group supervision.
Participate and facilitate training of volunteers, interns, and staff.
Perform duties typically performed by the manager in their absence including ensuring all staff, interns, and volunteers are supported and have the resources to do their jobs and facilitate regular departmental meetings.
Provide counseling, crisis intervention, domestic violence education, safety planning, and referrals to WINGS clients.
Complete Trauma Symptom Checklists and Wellness Matrix assessments with counseling clients.
Complete client-centered counseling Service Plans and updates according to policy.
Interact with clients and role model social skills, conflict resolution, parenting, and other skills of daily living (this may include time management, self-care, conflict, and stress management).
Advocate for client needs and communicate these needs to the responsible staff member in order to coordinate services.
Immediately report child abuse to the Department of Children and Family Services as mandated by law and in accordance with agency procedures.
Be available for evening and weekend work as needed.
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
Master's degree in social work. Must hold LCSW license.
Minimum of 3 years of experience supervising staff and working with victims of domestic violence, homeless, or other trauma related populations, required.
Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
40-hour domestic violence training, ICDVP, and CPR & First Aid Certification preferred.
Bilingual skills (Spanish, Polish or Russian) preferred.
Must be able to work efficiently, independently, and interdependently with the Program Services Team and external resources.
Must have strong interpersonal, problem-solving, organizational, and verbal and written communications skills with appropriate professional boundaries.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, advanced experience in Access and Excel a plus.
