Job Description

From Netflix to Spotify to Hello Fresh, subscription-based services are growing rapidly across many industries. By joining the Global Connected Services team as the Assistant Manager - Loyalty Performance, you will be on the front lines of General Motors' subscription services strategy and will shape our business today and in the future.

This role will be focused on developing a comprehensive churn management strategy and will be responsible for the Churn KPI. Key duties include: developing new ways to increase member loyalty to retain our paid members, maximizing revenue and/or combating degradation of average revenue per user, creative and effective pricing strategies, and ongoing analysis into reasons for customer churn.

As the Assistant Manager, you will work as a part of a cross functional diverse team. You will be the key integration point between Innovation, Product Marketing, CX and GCS Marketing to develop the best sales approach increase the perceived value proposition for our services. Embracing a rapidly changing environment is a must. You'll need to be passionate about driving proactive and positive customer interactions, customer loyalty, testing and learning, establishing best offers in new and existing channels and working with cross-functional teams to deliver world class experiences.

Role Responsibilities

  • Partner with product marketers to conduct customer research to identify new willingness to pay and garner key insights to increase the value proposition

  • Establish new proactive strategies to increase the overall satisfaction of our products and services

  • Be performance driven and accountable to deliver Churn reduction initiatives plan

  • Provide an accurate forecast each month for the business outlook on Churn

  • Be knowledgeable about churn best practices; be prepared to share and teach them to colleagues

  • Develop requirements to add new discount/offer strategies to our catalog, billing system and commerce platforms

  • Create test & learn environment to quickly understand success or failure for strategy put into market

  • Partner with CDAO analytics to gain valuable insights that can contribute to the bottom line

  • Partner with global markets to share ideas and embody an inclusive work environment

  • Be prepared to present monthly updates to leadership and can explain any nuances

Role Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or related areas (Advanced/Master's Degree in a business or business-related field preferred)

  • A total of 5+ years of professional experience, with 2 years minimum in the fields of marketing/consulting

  • Strong leadership skills and ability to lead teams in the attainment of aggressive performance goals

  • Proven ability to think strategically and develop and execute sales plans

  • Flexibility to adapt in an environment of changing focus and goals

  • Proven ability to balance and prioritize multiple tasks

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to write effective business communications

  • Ability to handle risk and innovate - original insights, test, fail, learn, improve

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and utilized an energized network across the organization

Job Description Job Details About your Organization (In-Market Enhancements) * The goal of the In-Market Enhancement (IME) team is to make vehicles better over time for customers after taking ownership (maximising Over the Air software updates). The team builds new services, digital accessories or receive upgrades to their vehicle to improve the customer's overall experience. The team collaborates with Global Connected Services (GCS), Vehicle Brands (Cadillac, Chevrolet, Buick and GMC), Vehicle Program teams and Feature Owners to develop the IME roadmap based on key market trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights on how to build new value for our customers. The team partners with GM's broader technical and analytical teams to establish and execute new IME's as well as the marketing and communications teams to bring them to market. In addition, the team handles the performance and quality of the services currently in market to ensure the highest customer happiness.
