Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree and 7 years of professional level human resources experience, including 5 years at the supervisory level; or an HR related advanced degree (i.e. MBA, MPA) and 5 years of professional level human resources experience at the supervisory level.

  • Experience developing formal policies

  • HR related advanced degree

  • SHRM and/or HRCI Certified

  • IPMA Certified

  • Experience giving presentations

  • Experience working with Microsoft Excel

Duties Description The Assistant Manager of Human Resources is responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:

  • Providing direct day-to-day supervision and oversight of the following units:

Recruitment and Employee Benefits (25%)

Employee Relations (25%)

Training (25%)

  • Working with Executives and Managers on day-to-day and strategic human resources issues (15%)
  • Acting as the liaison with outside agencies and stakeholders (10%)

Additional Comments This position does not come under the jurisdiction of the Department of Civil Service. It comes under the Manager/Executive Plan. New appointees to Manager/Executive Plan positions must serve a one-year review period.

The Human Resources Associate Manager will provide leadership and functional HR management support to two locations (one manufacturing facility and one distribution center) in both union and non union environments. Day in the Life: * Strategically lead and fully execute key HR initiatives that support PepsiCo vision * You will guide leaders and frontline employees regarding company policies, values, HR program administration (benefits, pay and salary) and interpretation to ensure policies and procedures are executed consistently across the site * You will be responsible for diagnosing organization issues, developing solutions and implementing action plan * Ensure activities are in compliance with all state and federal employment laws and regulations * Partner with leadership teams on performance management to develop pipeline and succession plans * Design and execute staffing strategies for exempt/non-exempt hiring needs (including campus recruiting).
