Assistant Manager - Emergency Room

Posting dates for internal transfers: June 11, 2024, through June 13, 2024 BASIC FUNCTION: The Emergency (Coordinator/Educator is a Registered Nurse with clinical and theoretical expertise in the nursing care of the emergency patient.# Responsibilities include assisting the Director with colleague supervision/staffing, colleague hiring, evaluations, and daily patient flow. In the educator role, responsibilities include colleague orientation, education, and continual competency assurance for the Emergency Department. Responsibilities also include maintaining complete and accurate records, maintenance of supplies/equipment and assisting with the provision of day to day management of Emergency Departments. EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Currently licensed to practice in the state of Ohio. Bachelor#s Degree in Nursing or related field preferred or must enroll after hire.# Maintains current BLS and ACLS Must be computer-literate to complete the task(s) as required. Such as Meditech (Hospital Support Software), Halogen (performance appraisal system), Relias (education system), ability to retrieve e-mails, complete online enrollment for health insurance/benefits and any other programs assigned. ENA Certification required and must be maintained. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with members of the health care team. Five years# clinical experience in the Emergency Room is preferred. Demonstrated leadership ability and strong communication skills. Previous experience in Nursing Education preferred Must be able to work effectively with physicians, management/nursing staff and other departments. CIDE certification within three months of hire.
