Position

This position involves organizing and directing Sales and Sales-Support functions at a branch location. Primary responsibility is revenue generation at the branch. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining positive customer, vendor, and branch personnel relationships while managing and supporting all organizational sales and marketing. Direct responsibility for efficient and profitable branch operation. Accountable for personnel, general office, warehousing, and logistics cost and control.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain constant customer contact facilitating sales and support efforts focused on revenue growth

  • Provide the highest quality customer service by establishing high employee expectations and standards

  • Achieve high performance through training of employees, monitoring service levels/engagement and coordinating activities of branch personnel.

  • Coach, counsel, train and discipline employees in accordance with company policies and procedures

  • Ensure that branch and warehouse facility layouts, including counter displays, are designed and arranged for optimal efficiency in accordance with corporate guidelines

  • Execute the branch inventory management program to ensure accurate inventory records, and communicate and resolve inventory discrepancies

  • Accountable for compliance with the company illness and injury prevention

  • Establish and achieve high standards for housekeeping and custodial activities

  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of computer system, reporting and transactions

  • Schedule staffing for adequate coverage of normal business hours in a retail setting

  • Other duties as assigned by corporate management team

Requirements

  • Experience: Three to five years within a high-volume warehouse, retail/wholesale sales and distribution environment. Management experience a plus.

  • Education: Minimum 2 years of business related college courses - BA/BS degrees a plus. May be substituted with critical experience and industry knowledge.

  • Landscape, irrigation and utility knowledge is a plus.

  • Positive / Professional / Problem solver

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Valid driver's license required.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required.

  • Forklift certification is a plus.
