Your role at Clorox:

The Assistant Manager Audit & Risk Advisory is a trusted risk advisor charged with helping to implement the Company's global internal audit strategy aimed at advising management in the identification and mitigation of a wide range of business, financial, technology, compliance, and operational risks while strengthening The Clorox Company's internal controls. As an assistant manager, you will provide the necessary audit expertise to promote and instill a culture of risk management and compliance which embraces industry best practices. The Assistant Manager is responsible for the delivery and execution of the risk-based internal audit plan, consisting of both assurance and risk advisory engagements, that serve to add value to the organization and in alignment with the company's strategic objectives.

In this role, you will:

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Audit Execution

  • Assist in the planning and execution of audit projects across a broad range of risk areas, including planning, risk assessment, and scoping of audit procedures.

  • Execute audit procedures, including leading walkthroughs and interviews, performing detailed testing, defining issues, developing audit criteria, integrating data analytics into the audit, and communicating findings with internal customers in a clear and timely manner

  • Identify the root cause of specific problems and partner with internal customers to identify feasible solutions that address/mitigate risk.

  • Prepare audit reports to effectively communicate the results of the engagement to management.

  • Ensure work meets the Institute of Internal Audit applicable standards.

Team Development

  • Assist in the development of staff, including on the job training and performance feedback, for both internal staff and external co-source team.

  • Support training programs in the department for continued education.

Project Management

  • Effectively use resources available to complete projects on time and within budget, including the use of external consultants

  • Demonstrate, encourage, and recognize a continuous improvement approach in the IA function

  • Continuously evaluate current IA methodology and practices to identify ways to increase efficiency and effectiveness

Other

  • Foster and maintain relationships with key business stakeholders to stay apprised of top risks and business changes.   }

What we look for:

  • 4+ years of experience

  • BA or BS Degree (Accounting, Finance, Business or related field)

  • Relevant certification(s) preferred (CIA, CPA, CISA, or similar professional certification)

  • Big 4 public accounting or Corporate controls / internal audit experience in a multi-national public company.

  • SAP or other ERP system experience

  • Experience with AuditBoard

  • Knowledge of internal audit principles and practices; with knowledge of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF).

  • Demonstrated experience working in teams to successfully complete projects

  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate and coach upwards and downwards.

  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to evaluate and enhance internal controls.

  • Data analytics experience (Power BI, Tableu, etc)

  • Ability to work on cross-functional activities and form solid business relationships across functions

  • Well organized with ability to prioritize and self-manage workload

  • Ability to travel up to 30%

Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

  • Zone A: $86,600 - $161,900

  • Zone B: $79,400 - $148,400

  • Zone C: $72,100 - $134,900

This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox's incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
