Job Description:

An Assistant Manager assists the General Manager and Associate Manager in driving the business and customer engagement with an emphasis on running the sales floor. Reports to the General Manager.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Drive for Results

  • Ensures that the highest level of customer service is provided in the store.

  • Communicates and successfully promotes programs aimed at increasing business. Sets an example with constant customer interaction on the selling floor and accountability for personal sales results while maintaining a minimum Sales goal. Ensures all employees are trained and developed in product knowledge, ARMANI selling techniques, and loss prevention. Frequent one-on-ones areconducted to ensure Associates Sales goals are achieved.

  • Merchandising

  • Manages a collection within the store to ensure strong sales results are being driven through the successful implementation of all company merchandising guidelines.

  • Utilizes analytical skills in order to make strategic merchandising moves on a weekly basis based off of business reports and sellthrough.

  • Ensures the replenishment systems are followed and the store standard expectations are consistently met.

  • Operations

  • Works in conjunction with the General Manager and Associate Manager in managing all areas of the daily operations of the store.

  • Ensures that the sales floor is adequately staffed and supervised.

  • Ensures all paperwork is completed promptly with attention to detail.

  • Stock

  • Maintains efficient systems for receiving stock shipments, transfers, markdowns, and handling of defective merchandise.

  • Communicates all inventory issues to the appropriate parties.

  • Assists in general housekeeping duties within the store.

  • Loss Prevention

  • Ensures all cash handling and LP policies and procedures are consistently enforced.

  • Ensures store's profits are maximized through effective inventory control.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of previous retail sales experience including a minimum of 1 year of retail management experience. Must have experience with operations, merchandising, sales, and stock activities.

  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines concurrently.

  • Ability to understand budgets, sales, hourly goals, and allocations.

  • Open availability and able to work a flexible schedule including holidays, nights and weekends.

  • College degree preferred.

Brand: * Schedules all brand's initiatives and strategies (Sales Education, Launches, Events, Brand Promotions, and Product Testing). * Schedules brand guide planning, mapping and execution. * Supports brand guide execution in absence of Brand Operations Supervisor. * Maintains visual merchandising standards of total store. Operations: * Inspects payroll coding for accuracy and makes daily, weekly, monthly decisions to manage labor plan. * Executes all workforce management requirements including; schedule creation, entering in events/fixed schedules, editing, and posting. * Inspects associate availability, scheduling practices, and zoning of total store and approves all associate requests off. * Owns understanding shipment visibility to ensure processing payroll is scheduled to meet product flow demands and adjust schedule appropriately. * Primary owner of Asset Protection (AP). * Shares Key Performance Indicator reporting and builds capability of entire store team around physical inventory outcomes. * Leads execution of all store projects and compliance; including physical inventory, markdowns, re-tickets, and other non-selling related task. * Oversees team processing and replenishment. * Determines operational and product life cycle planning for store and drives business growth though short term and long term actions that focus on improving merchandise availability. * Sets weekly direction and supports execution for product life cycle activities which includes; processing, backroom organization, replenishment, and sell down. * Personally owns partnership with maintenance and tracking and follow-up of all maintenance issues. * Manages supply budget and makes final decision on all supply orders.
