Position Title: Assistant Maintenance Manager for Satellite Campuses

Responsibilities:

The Assistant Maintenance Manager for Satellite Campuses is responsible for providing support and reporting to the Assistant Director of Maintenance and Repairs for Satellite Campuses. This position coordinates various facility repairs, maintenance, renovations, and remodels within the buildings and structures located on the Satellite Campuses, including but not limited to NIRC, CEET, and Crowley. The Assistant Maintenance Manager directly oversees several Maintenance Foreman positions and serves as a second-level supervisor to the various trade positions within the Satellite Campuses. This role is a key member of the management tier for the department and is expected to closely work with the satellite campus leadership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide daily oversight, direction, and quality assurance for the Maintenance, Grounds, and Custodial shops.

• Coordinate projects between shop personnel and various satellite campus personnel, supporting their efforts where possible.

• Nurture collaborative relationships with various satellite campus personnel and departments to promote efficiency, accountability, and productivity within the in-house shops.

• Plan, assign, and/or supervise the work of others.

• Function as a team leader of various facilities personnel as needed.

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm, minimum 40 hours per week. Some after hour or weekend work may be necessary.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience in maintenance or repairs
• OR 10 years of experience in maintenance or repairs will substitute for the degree requirement

Preferred Qualifications:

• The successful candidate shall possess good communication and task management skills as well as be a self-starter who is capable of multi-tasking, prioritizing, and handling a high stress environment.

• Applicant should have a working knowledge of various aspects of property, facilities, or equipment maintenance and repairs.

• Applicant should have previous experience with repairs or industrial field work. (carpentry, plumbing, pumps, etc.)

• Applicant should be capable of consulting with various senior level satelitte campus employees as it relates to coordinating Facility work on center buildings and structures.
