* VideosVideos * DutiesHelpDutiesSummaryThe Assistant Human Resources Officer (Senior Strategic Human Resources Business Partner) reports directly to the VISN Chief Human Resources Officer and contributes to overall VISN performance by providing tactical and strategic consulting on people and organization development strategies in support of business objectives at a designated VISN facility. The SSBP position may be responsible for covering more than one facility within their VISN.Learn more about this agencyResponsibilitiesThe duties of the position include but are not limited to:* Providing expert management consultative service involving the full spectrum of HR functions (e.g., recruitment and placement, employee performance, and conduct issues) on highly complex issues. * Serving as the primary strategic advisor between local leadership and VISN HR Operations, effectuating local strategic goals and metrics through expert management consultation in talent management and workforce and succession planning. * Acting as change agent to business through process redesign and approaches that support change and transformation. * Analyzing trends and metrics to develop solutions and providing day-to-day consultation to leadership on a variety of actions to include employee relations issues, policy interpretation and application, talent management and development, and organizational design consultation. * Serving as a key member in various VISN committees and activities, working directly with leadership to develop an HR strategy that closely supports and facilitates meeting local organizational goals. * Providing guidance and advice to mangers and leaders on employee engagement.Work Schedule: Monday through Friday; 7:30am- 4:00pm or 8:00am- 4:30pm.Monday through Friday; 7:30am- 4:00pm or 8:00am- 4:30pm.Telework: May be considered for highly qualified candidates.
