The first Aman resort, Amanpuri, opened in Thailand in 1988.
Aman is Sanskrit for "Peace". Amangiri Resort is located in Southern Utah and is situated near Lake Powell and is located at the heart of the Grand Circle surrounded by multiple National Parks and Monuments.
The resort consists of 34 suites, a main pavilion which includes the dining room, 2 living rooms, a library and a private dining room.
Just outside of the main pavilion is the swimming pool which is built around a 160 million year old rock formation.
The resort also has a 25,000 square foot spa which includes a yoga pavilion, 5 treatment rooms (4 single and 1 couple's room) as well as a water pavilion and a hydration therapy room.

Satisfying guest needs and exceeding guest expectations are your #1 priority Projecting a positive hotel image Managing the housekeeping staff Motivating and developing housekeeping staff Developing the Aman culture within the department Overseeing schedules Attending and conduct pre-shift briefings with management Maintain the housekeeping log book Record guest history and input into the computer Ensuring that all guest requests are attended to in a very timely fashion Ensuring that rooms are prepared and maintained in a timely and efficient manner Daily inspection of all arrival rooms and spot checking of occupied and turn down rooms Meeting guests to ensure that they are comfortable and have everything they need Daily inspection of Porte cochere and public areas and dining room Supervising the minibar operation Responsible for guest lost & found procedures Working with Housekeeping and Chief Engineer to establishing a proper maintenance program and ensuring swift follow up Liaising with possible outside contractors Responsible for the maintenance, service and control of all housekeeping equipment, linen and supplies Maintaining par stocks for all housekeeping supplies and placing orders in a timely manner Communicating in an open and timely manner with Housekeeping Manager on the operation Cooperating & communicating with other departments in all resort related matters Assisting Housekeeping Manager in developing the annual housekeeping budget & capital expenditures Collaborating with Housekeeping Manager to achieve P&L results Maintaining a clean & neat area of operation Keeping high personal grooming standards and dressing in a professional manner Performing other duties as assigned by Housekeeping Manager Must have 2 years previous experience with Supervisory or Management in a hospitality environment Knowledge of cleaning cart and supplies, washer/dryer, cleaning chemicals and all other cleaning equipment and materials as necessary Capable of evaluating new supplies and equipment Experience in training new staff members and the ability to delegate work assignments Must be able to deal effectively and calmly with difficult situations Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with multiple priorities Able to exercise good judgment when making decisions Able to prioritize multiple tasks; have a sense of urgency to complete projects and be detail oriented Proficient in computer systems, including Opera, HotSos, Voxer and Microsoft applications
