The AHT is responsible for overseeing and ensuring new hires and transfer team members are properly trained and onboarded.

The AHT works with the on-the-job trainer/Buddy, to train team members as they learn production techniques and to understand all safety and quality expectations.

The AHT communicates with management, Operations/HR on a regular basis to update on new hire progress.

AHT will have daily contact and communication with all probationary team members during the qualification period.

The AHT is responsible to follow up on all safety, food safety, or any other issues that are brought forward by team members.

The AHT functions as a liaison between operations and Training/Human Resources/OHS/Safety Departments.

The AHT is responsible for tracking and training data entry into required recording systems.

AHT Responsibilities:

The role involves actively overseeing and guiding the performance of trainees throughout their qualification period, ensuring adherence to the ramp-in program.

Collaborating with on-the-job trainers (Buddies), the individual ensures that new or transferred team members acquire the necessary job skills for independent work and job qualification.

Educational responsibilities encompass familiarizing the new or transferred team members with USDA regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and sanitation rules.

The position entails coordinating and delivering training sessions, updating and maintaining spreadsheets tracking internal job transfers and training progress, and providing weekly reports on hourly training tracking.

The management of training files and history for team members under training/tracking falls under the purview of the role, with a focus on Alchemy Training and reporting.

Emphasizing workplace safety and habits, the individual serves as a point of contact for technology engagement tools such as Beekeeper, Workday, and Next Frontier.

They play a crucial role in creating, implementing, and sustaining the Job Qualifications program for the location and act as a backup/facilitator for orientations.

Serving as a change champion, the individual supports programs to enhance team member engagement.

To enrich the team member experience, the position involves understanding and mastering all hourly production positions for the location to facilitate seamless onboarding and transitions.

Daily and weekly coordination with the assigned supervisor, training supervisor, and lead is necessary to assess team members' performance and job qualification status, maintaining accurate and detailed training records for on-the-job training.

The role also encompasses various other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or GED.

  • Experience: 6 months of relative work experience in training, production, or manufacturing. Experience with manufacturing or production preferred.

  • Communication: Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

    Must be able to present information and respond to questions from management and others: Ability to build effective working relationships with management and trainees.

  • Computer skills: Experience with Microsoft Office-Excel, PowerPoint and Word; or the ability to learn the software. Computer literacy and the skill to operate specialized software related to departmental operations including internet, spreadsheet, and word processing programs.

  • Physical Requirements: Employees may be required to stand, and/or walk, bend and/or stoop, for long periods.

    Lift boxes or equipment up to 30 pounds. Sit at a computer and type for periods of time.
