Assistant Gymnastics Coach

Position Overview: The Assistant Gymnastics Coach will work closely with the Head Coach to support the gymnastics program. This role involves coaching student-athletes, assisting in practice planning, and contributing to the overall success of the team.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the development and implementation of training programs for gymnasts at various skill levels.

Conduct coaching sessions focusing on technical skills, routines, and overall performance enhancement.

Help organize and lead daily practices, ensuring a safe and positive environment for all athletes.

Aid in the preparation for competitions, including routine development and mental preparation.

Monitor the progress of student-athletes and provide individualized feedback and support.

Participate in recruitment efforts, including attending competitions and evaluating potential recruits.

Foster a supportive and inclusive team culture through open communication and mentorship.

Ensure compliance with NCAA regulations and university policies in all coaching activities.

Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling, travel arrangements, and budget management.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Physical Education, or a related field preferred. Previous coaching experience in gymnastics, ideally at the collegiate or club level.

Strong understanding of gymnastics techniques, safety protocols, and competition rules. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Commitment to the academic and athletic development of student-athletes.
