MOM's is a family-owned chain of organic grocery stores in the DC Metro Area, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. Our purpose is to protect and restore the environment.
As Assistant Manager, your responsibilities will primarily include assisting the General Manager in the day-to-day operations and management of the store, along with other assignments as deemed appropriate.
Specific tasks may include, but are not limited to, assistance with the following:
Staff communication (meetings, postings, etc.)
Staff enhancement, development, & correction
Bookkeeping & cash controls
Housekeeping & store maintenance
Executing new store projection, processes, or initiatives
Other operating tasks (opening, closing, etc.)
Know & Support company philosophy / mission / values
Know & Support our industry
Know & Support our customers
This position requires someone who is hands-on and able to motivate and delegate.
Superior time management skills
Proven analytical skills
Understanding of basic P&L and general ledger
Ability to make hard and fast decisions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be active and able to be on your feet for extended amounts of time, as well as able to pick up at least 50lbs
