JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing budgets and financial plans and controlling expenditure

  • Maintaining statistical and financial records

  • Setting and achieving sales and profit targets

  • Recruiting, training, and monitoring staff

  • Planning work schedules for individuals and teams

  • Meeting and greeting customers

  • Dealing with customer complaints and comments

  • Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of two years' experience as an Assistant General Manager

  • Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management or Business preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Financial savvy

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products

Additionally assists staff, physicians, visitors and ancillary departments with routine patient care activities and clerical support as needed. Patient Care activities include vital signs, activities of daily living, transport, and transfer of patients to include discharge. Clerical support includes directing incoming calls and responding to patient calls, entering patient charges in the computer system, maintaining patient charts, unit files and secretarial supply levels and being responsible for maintaining a safe and orderly environment. Qualifications Education: HS/GED required. BCLS is required by the conclusion of orientation. Experience: Requires previous patient care and/or two years clerical expereience with successful work history. Familiarity with medical terminology and completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant and/or Huntsville Hospital Health Care Assistant course preferred.
