Responsibilities

The Role

Gives support to the general manager in running the day-to-day operations of the division to include; directs distribution operations through a team of functional managers and front line supervisors. Meets or exceeds division plan/budget.

Essential Responsibilities Include, but Not Limited To

• Manages & creates policy deployment in the areas of Lean Manufacturing techniques, quality control, cost reduction, complete and on-time delivery, food & employee safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations, and plant performance measures.

• Works with Production Manager for best product scheduling to increase efficiencies and reduce waste levels while maximizing quality.

• Responsible for managing financials including P&L, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure the profitability of the division.

• Provides leadership and direction to all Senior Branch Managers.

• Provides leadership for employee relations

• This position shares responsibility for ensuring the overall product safety at Charlie's Produce.

• Active & participating member of Food Safety and HACCP Teams.

• Works with the Regional President to build annual facility budgets to facilitate and lead to continued growth of the business.

• Manages compliance with state and federal regulations.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

• 5+ years in a GM level position or equivalent experience.

• Leadership: a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.

• Utilization of Lean Manufacturing techniques in a food-oriented production business.

• Technical skills in materials and inventory management, ERP utilization, production scheduling, and preventive maintenance.

• Quality-minded orientation and attention to detail & process flow.

• Problem analysis and problem resolution.

• Building High performance leaders and strong teams.

• Intermediate MS Office and computer proficiency.

• Management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree.
