Requisition Number: 28847 Job Title: ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIALIST Working Title: Assistant Fund Manager Salary: $20.89 - $41.37 hourly Job Type: Career Department Name: 0830-ECOLOGY AND EVOLUTIONARY BIOLOGY Department Website URL: Job Summary Statement: Under the direction of the Sr. Financial Services Supervisor, the Administrative Specialist, will assist the Biology Group Fund Management team in clerical, purchasing, tracking invoice payment status, reimbursements, bookkeeping duties and related functions for the operating and sponsored research awards for Principal Investigators (PIs). Reconcile ledgers, prepare accounting forms, and post service unit recharges. Assist with pre- and post-award duties. Percentage of Time: 100.0 Shift Start: 8:00 am Shift End: 5:00 pm Qualifications for Position

1.Demonstrated working knowledge of procurement practices.

2.Demonstrated skill in Purchasing/ Accounts Payable systems, the university system experience is preferable.

3.Demonstrated ability to use spreadsheet and database software to generate reports, including extracts from mainframe sources.

4.Strong communication skills for dealing with a diverse clientele including vendors, sales representatives, principal investigators, central administrative staff and others.

6.Skill in effecting detailed procedures with accuracy and timeliness.
