VIEW JOBS 10/17/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-01-15T00:00 Position Title: * Front Office Reception Supervisor Who are we looking for? * A Supervisor who will assist the Front Office Manager & Assistant Front Office Manager in delivering and holding ambassadors accountable for providing consistent positive guest service experiences with excellent communication, organizational & efficient time management skills, while also focusing on attention to the details. * This individual must be pleasant, professional & hospitable towards all guests & all hotel ambassadors at all times! * Must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible and efficient. * The Hotel never closes….you must be available to work any shifts based on the business needs, including weekends & holidays. What will you be doing? * Assist the Front Office Manager & Assistant Front Office Manager in directing all aspects of the front office operations including leading/training the team, articulating company goals and brand standards * Responsible for quality guest service, meeting/exceeding financial goals, asset protection, short and long term planning and day-to-day operations * Demonstrate commitment to these goals through work ethic, integrity and respect for the Company and ambassadors * Possess strong listening, verbal and written communication skills with professionalism, diplomacy and confidentiality. * Display consistent professional leadership while simultaneously handling competing and changing priorities and projects. * Remain positive, resourceful and possess the ability to improvise while working in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure. * Be knowledgeable about our Indigenous offerings * Be "In the Know" of hotel services, in-house events, directions as needed, sporting events, local offerings such as fun things to do in the area * Comply with all guest service basics such as uniforms, name tags and proper guest greeting * Ensure all communication containing Company, hotel, or brand is consistent with privacy policies, practices and regulations * Practice safe work habits and comply with sanitary, safety, security and emergency procedures * Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned * Any other duties / tasks as requested by management What type of education, experience, and physical effort are we looking for? * High school education or equivalent, two or more years of related hotel front office experience * Marriott Hotels systems experience required such as MARSHA/PMS * Ability to Train team successfully * Guest service, cash handling, basic accounting, inventory control, and familiarity with industry practices preferred * The job requires close vision with or without corrective lenses * Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions Benefits options for this position? * Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Life Insurance * Paid Vacation and Personal/Sick Days, Holiday pay * Retirement Savings Plan (401k) with a match * Free Ambassador Meal * Free Ambassador Parking * Walking distance to the hotel from the Blue Line * Travel Discounts for self, family & friends!
