Assistant For Discipleship And Groups

PURPOSE

Seven Rivers Church (SRC) vision is to bring the healing love of Jesus to broken people and broken places. We want everyone who comes at SRC to grow in grace, connect in community, and serve on mission. Unfortunately, many Christians struggle to grow in their grasp of God's beautiful grace and find life-giving community with other believers, especially in a large church like SRC. We endeavor to make the process attractive and easy to encourage them toward that end!

ROLE

We are seeking a full-time staff person to assist the Pastor of Discipleship to help people grow in grace and connect in community at SRC. They will do this through general ministry partnership, administration responsibilities, helping with events, and enjoying being a part of the wonderful SRC staff and culture.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ministry Partnership

• Assist with general vision/ideas to help people grow spiritually and connect in community

• Get to know small group leaders in order to help encourage and connect people to their groups

• Help identify new leaders and new members for new groups

Small Group Administration

• Manage communication and administration associated with connecting people to small groups

• Interact with group leaders and those looking for a group to connect them to a group

• Manage meeting schedule for Pastor of Discipleship for meeting with new and current leaders

• Help with other general administration needed alongside the Pastor of Discipleship

Other

• Help create, plan and execute events such as young family cookouts, assimilation events, men's breakfasts and retreats, funerals, etc. (includes vision, promotion, volunteers, food, etc.)

Be a Part of the SRC Staff Team

• Partner with other staff to help the team flourish

• Foster team unity in service and joy

• Attend staff and prayer meetings (See Staff Core Values)

Salary: $30K-$59K

Requirements

HELPFUL QUALITIES TO HAVE:

• Healthy relationship with God and church

• Understands & applies the gospel in life

• Healthy family life (if have a family)

• Some understanding & passion for small groups and helping people grow spiritually

• Administratively gifted & organized

• More of an implementer than visionary

• Able to interact well with staff and leaders

• Some understanding/skill with google docs

• Humble and joyful, doesn't take self too seriously (one of SRC's staff values)
