Position Description:

Valley City State University is searching for an Assistant Football Coach. This position will assist the head coach with the following duties: scheduling competitions and planning practices with emphasis on pitching and catching; implementing strength and conditioning programs, recruiting, coaching, mentoring, and retaining student athletes; monitoring annual budgets; arranging team and recruiting travel; fundraising and other departmental duties; fostering strong alumni relations and meeting all institutional, and NAIA rules and regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 2 years coaching experience, and a valid Driver's License. Candidate should demonstrate strong organizational skills, exceptional verbal, and written communication skills, be proficient with Microsoft Office programs, be highly motivated with an outstanding work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree, 2 year coaching experience with quarterbacks, wide receivers, and/or offensive line, 2 years coaching experience at the collegiate level, and experience coaching in the NAIA or Midwest.

Compensation:

$32,000-$35,000 annually and is commensurate with experience and qualifications.

This position is subject to the North Dakota Veteran's Preference procedure.
