The Product Delivery Associate Director provides product and compliance support to Group Reinsurance Plus. This position is responsible for researching compliance and contract-related inquiries, drafting policy form language, and conducting state filings, and will also be involved in disseminating legislative alerts and drafting reinsurance contracts. This position reports to the Director of Compliance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide detailed policy review/analysis and contract comparison services

  • Draft contract language to support product development and/or new/amended legislation

  • Provide consultative research and analysis of policies, contracts and agreements, as well as the applicable state and federal laws and regulations

  • Perform state filing of group life, disability income, accident, critical illness and hospital income products, serving as filing project lead/owner as needed

  • Serve as subject matter expert to strategically respond to contract and compliance questions, including questions regarding complex issues and topics

  • Provide ongoing regulatory compliance support for internal and external business partners

  • Assist in drafting reinsurance and administrative services agreements

  • 5 years product & regulatory compliance experience; reinsurance experience a plus

  • Strong knowledge of group and voluntary products such as Life, Disability, AD&D, Accident, Critical Illness and Hospital Indemnity

  • Strong knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations applicable to group Life, Disability, AD&D, Accident, Critical Illness and Hospital Indemnity

  • Proficiency in state filings, including SERFF preferred

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent analytical, research and problem solving skills

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, consulting with team members as appropriate on complex matters

  • Strong leadership & negotiation skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
