Position Description

Performs varied and complex administrative duties in the management and coordination of a large specialized project and/or program. Requires independent judgment and application of established policies and procedures. Works under general supervision with evaluation based on overall results obtained.

  • Strong written and research capabilities to professionally prepare, review, and facilitate preparation of procurement documentation with attention to accuracy, terminology, and specification in accordance with Intuitional and State guidelines.

  • Strong analytical and computer skills with experience using multiple software applications, using and maintaining a relational database system.

  • General knowledge of contracting and purchasing procedures in a higher education setting.

  • Experience and knowledge working with Microsoft Office Applications - specifically Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.

  • Experience in solicitation and contract development, bid analysis, cost avoidance, contract review and supplier selection and management.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in the area of specialization or closely related field. Three years of related administrative and technical experience. Additional job related education may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

As an Assistant Executive Director, you will: * Be responsible for assisting the Executive Director in all aspects of the clinical and business functions of an agency and its branches, including budget, clinical operations, billing and collections, quality improvement, compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements, human resources, business development and clinical program development. You may be designated to assume the Executive Director, branch manager, responsibilities in the absence of the Executive Director to ensure smooth, continuous operations. * Manage procedures and systems which ensure the delivery of coordinated, appropriate, and comprehensive patient care for patients supported by the agency. * Monitor systems and procedures for compliance by ensuring that employees are oriented and trained to use the correct system and appropriate procedure; updating training as needed. * Ensure business office procedures and systems for maximum efficiency of billing, data entry, and administrative support functions. * Coordinate and assist in the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the agency's QAPI program. * Maintain effective communication with patients, caregivers and referral sources, as well as field and office staff. * Comply with applicable legal requirements, standards, policies and procedures including but not limited to those within the Compliance Process, Code of Conduct, and HIPAA requirements. * Participate in required orientation, Compliance and HIPAA training programs. * Report concerns and suspected incidences of non-compliance to the supervisor, administrator, compliance officer and/or the compliance hotline. * Cooperate with monitoring and audit functions, investigations and participate, as requested, in process improvement. Requirements of Qualified Candidates: * 1-3 years of experience * Bachelor's degree in nursing or health care related field preferred * RN License required * Firm working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to use in varied situations * Strong knowledge of the business to be able to make decisions that could have major implications on the management and operations of an area within a department * Strong ability to apply highly proficient and specialized skills that allow employee to function in situations that are varied, complex, and/or non-routine. * Excellent time management, prioritization and organizational skills * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-task environment with competing priorities * Excellent interpersonal/listening skills * Proficient in interacting with and creating a collaborative working environment amongst and stakeholders at all levels of the organization * Advanced planning and project management skills Accentcare Lubbock TX
