Job Summary

The Vertically Integrated Projects (VIP) Program Assistant Director provides leadership on strategic initiatives and administration of the College of Engineering's Vertically Integrated Projects (VIP) Program by facilitating new and current cross-disciplinary VIP project opportunities, partnerships, and funding opportunities both on campus and externally. Additionally, the Assistant Director will provide leadership in developing and delivering professional development and educational material to VIP students, and faculty and graduate student mentors, lead the assessment strategies of VIP program success, and have primary responsibility for course administration.

What We Are Looking For

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Required:

  • Master's degree

  • Four (4) years of experience in higher education programs involving students, administrators, faculty, and staff and/or project management

Preferred:

  • Master's or PhD in Management, Engineering, Education, Sciences, Communications, Counseling, Higher Education Administration or Student Services

SKILLS:

Required:

  • Experience mentoring design and/or research teams

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver training and educational materials

  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively build trusting and productive relationships within and external to the University

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in multiple contexts with diverse audiences

  • Detailed and quality-oriented and able to lead multiple projects

Preferred:

Demonstrated ability to develop, design and utilize existing analytical tools for evaluation and assessment of the VIP Program
