Assistant Director of Operationswill direct the daily operations of the Professional Services Central Billing Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for the direct management of the Accounts Receivables (A/R) management teams. He/she will provide analytical support to senior management and provide analysis of open receivables and payer denials.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Manage and direct the operation of denial processing and proactive A/R processing for all managed care, other commercial and governmental payers including oversight of A/R Managers and bargaining unit FTEs.

  • Analyze A/R and payer and establish priorities to target payer issues and implement action plans to resolve.

  • Develop new processes to streamline and automate A/R follow-up and insurance verification.

Requirements:

  • Must have significant experience with, and strong understanding of, physician revenue cycle in both the inpatient and outpatient setting.

  • Strong understanding of healthcare claims processing, and managed care, commercial and governmental payor requirements.

  • Bachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred

  • A/R management, change management and information technology management are all crucial skills.

  • Must have practice management or EMR experience, preferably with the Epic system.
