Assistant Director of Operationswill direct the daily operations of the Professional Services Central Billing Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for the direct management of the Accounts Receivables (A/R) management teams. He/she will provide analytical support to senior management and provide analysis of open receivables and payer denials.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Manage and direct the operation of denial processing and proactive A/R processing for all managed care, other commercial and governmental payers including oversight of A/R Managers and bargaining unit FTEs.
Analyze A/R and payer and establish priorities to target payer issues and implement action plans to resolve.
Develop new processes to streamline and automate A/R follow-up and insurance verification.
Must have significant experience with, and strong understanding of, physician revenue cycle in both the inpatient and outpatient setting.
Strong understanding of healthcare claims processing, and managed care, commercial and governmental payor requirements.
Bachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred
A/R management, change management and information technology management are all crucial skills.
Must have practice management or EMR experience, preferably with the Epic system.
