Job DescriptionThe Assistant Director for Undergraduate Experiential Learning supports the development of robust support for university-wide experiential learning. The Assistant Director will be responsible for student-facing functions in support of the Director's vision to continually improve experiential learning opportunities and expand participation across campuses and diverse student populations. The Assistant Director will participate in collaborations with various stakeholders to help design new and innovative experiential learning opportunities, support the facilitation of new collaborations and communication between various stakeholders, and help manage the approval, implementation, tracking, and assessment of those opportunities.

The primary accountabilities are:

Assist the director with the auditing, development, and coordination of existing university-wide experiential learning opportunities, including expansion, continuous improvement, and innovative design of new opportunities. Develop and monitor feedback, tracking, and assessment systems to include the student experience in the planning, implementation, and expansion of experiential, place-based, and community engagement. Audit historical participation in curricular and co-curricular experiential learning opportunities to explore patterns relevant to diversity and persistence.

Lead the dissemination of Career and Experiential Learning Fee funding allocated to directly support student experiential learning. Collaborate with all stakeholders to develop guidelines, criteria, evaluation, processes, tracking, assessment, and reporting.

In collaborative partnership with the Director of Undergraduate Experiential Learning, OHIO Honors leadership, and the Center for Campus and Community Engagement (CCCE) leadership, develop and coordinate peer-to-peer mentorship to foster value-based norm setting, heightened self and social awareness, asset-based cultural competency, and leadership development in the realms of experiential, place-based, and community engagement. Partner to support experiential learning initiatives particularly in OHIO Honors, the CCCE, and the Career and Leadership Development Center.

Lead the collaborative development and implementation of a values-based, storytelling approach to communicate the impact of experiential, place-based, and community engagement and to support fund raising efforts. In collaboration with communications professionals in University College and University Communications and Marketing, contribute to the development and distribution of print, multi-media and social media materials. Present in student-centered venues and events to encourage engagement and to connect students to opportunities.

Minimum QualificationsMaster's degree and three years of experience with experiential learning.

Preferred QualificationsDoctoral degree.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Develops organization-wide patient care programs, policies, & procedures that describe how patients' nursing care needs, or the needs of patient populations (e.g., deaf and/or hard of hearing, adult, geriatric, acute, intermediate, chronic, forensic, MI/MR, dual diagnosis) receiving nursing care, treatment, and services, are assessed, evaluated, and met. Participates with governing body, management, medical staff & clinical leaders in ABH's decision-making structures & processes.
