Assistant Director Of Operations

The Office of Admissions provides information and administrative support to prospective students and implements recruitment, marketing and yield strategies to attract and enroll new freshmen and transfer students; to enhance the visibility of VSU within the high school community, community colleges in Virginia and outside of Virginia; and the university's overall goal of increasing enrollment.

This role will serve to oversee the technology needs of the Office of Enrollment Management by providing technology support for the day-to-day processes for Undergraduate, Graduate and International admissions. Oversee use of Banner, BDM and Recruiter or other CRMs in admissions to ensure accurate and timely application processing.

Integrate and migrate web and email marketing data for student recruitment. Utilize various data analytic software (LogiPrd, Excel, vendor-source data) for reporting, operational and functional purposes.

Minimum Qualifications

Five years of admissions processing or public contact experience in high volume office setting.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Requires ability to manage projects and coordinate long-term planning.

Excellent public contact skills.

Ability to accurately enter data into computer and to understand computer-generated information.

Demonstrated ability to work independently.

Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.

Ability to maintain excellent records in a database.

Must be computer literate, especially in the use of Microsoft Windows, Word and Excel. Possess skill and knowledge of Banner, CRMs and imaging systems.
