Assistant Director Of Operations

Southeastern Louisiana University's Department of University Housing invites applicants for the position of Assistant Director of Operations. The Assistant Director of Operations is responsible for administering the Housing software system (StarRez) to handle housing assignments for approximately 2775 beds at Southeastern Louisiana University.

This position also reviews housing applications and the application process to ensure best practices in the field of student housing. It handles day to day assignments, room changes, billing questions, and other student and parent inquiries.

Also responsible for generating statistical reports with focus on analysis of space usage and occupancy. This position assists with writing correspondence, updating information in guidebook, student portal and Housing web site, communicating with students, parents, and university representatives.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education.

Minimum of three years of demonstrated mid-level experience, with preference in a higher education setting or related field.

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS

Master's degree from an accredited university.

Three years of experience in residential life, housing management, or related management responsibilities.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Knowledge and ability to oversee, administer, and troubleshoot the StarRez housing management system.

Database management experience and knowledge of Peoplesoft.

Strong organizational and management skills.

Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise personnel and provide guidance to other professional and support staff.
