Assistant Director of Nursing

  • 12 bed Congregate Living Healthcare Facility (CLHF)

As Assistant Director of Nursing, you will assist the Director of Nursing in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the day-to-day functions of nursing services, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the facility.

  • Directly manage all monthly risk management, quality improvement (CQI), and infection control meetings, documentation, and in-services for facility.

  • Supervise and manage assigned staff, including performance evaluations, scheduling, orientation, training, and ongoing support.

  • Resolve employee relations issues as needed; make decisions related to employment and performance.

  • Assist the Director of Nursing in determining the staffing needs of the nursing services department. Responsible for rotating all on-call schedules and to fill in as floor nurse as needed.

  • Make daily rounds of the nursing service departments to ensure that all nursing service personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with acceptable nursing standards; report any findings to Director of Nursing Assist the Director of Nursing in the development of in-service training programs for the nursing staff.

  • Ensure that training programs meet the continuing education requirements which allow licensed personnel to keep their licenses in an active status.

Serve as a positive role model for all staff, service providers, and the community at large

Qualifications:

  • RN licensure with previous leadership experience not required.

  • Additional certificates/licenses as required by the state.

  • Strong communication skills with ability to build rapport with others, self-motivated, highly organized, and detail-oriented.
