Assistant Director Of Nursing (Adon) - Full-Time

Responsible for vent unit.

Position Summary:

Assists the Director of Nursing in Managing and directing resident care within the nursing department in order to maintain resident standards of care and ensure that each resident functions at his/her highest level.

Essential Functions:

• Must be able to read, write and understand the English language

Position Responsibilities:

• Must follow HCF Policies and Procedures

• Must meet job related competencies as outlined in the Skills Competency Manual

• Assists in the Coordination of resident care through departmental and appropriate staff committee meetings

• Ensures that staffing is adequate to meet State and Federal requirements

• Guides nursing department in adherence to all state and federal regulations

• Evaluates nursing personnel and affectively recommends disciplinary action according to HCF policy.

• Participates in the QA process and the "Nurse On-call" program

• Completes duties of Infection Control Nurse (PA)

• Ensures availability of nursing supplies and equipment

• Assumes responsibility for maintaining his/her own professional competence

• Evaluates overall delivery of resident care

• Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing.

• Current license as a Registered Nurse with the State Board of Nursing.

• CPR certification recommended.
