POSITION PURPOSE:
Assists the Director of Human Resources in the overall management and administration of the Human Resources function. Specific responsibilities include hiring; associate/labor relations issues and investigations, wage and salary administration, training and development, affirmative action compliance, worker's compensation and safety and the implementation of policies and programs as directed by the corporate offices.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Ensure Affirmative Action Plan compliance by training management on the hotels' goals and interview and selection methods.
Leads the hotel's quality program which involves a complete understanding of the standards and reporting format as well as the creation/design of related training and incentive programs to encourage consistent guest service by all associates. Analyzes reports to determine areas where continuous improvement methods can best be utilized.
Manage and supervise the day-to-day HR Department operation. Communicate all applicable HR processes to managers and hotel staff relating to, but not limited to labor, contract compliance, disciplinary procedures, recruitment, orientation, staff relations, benefits, performance reviews, employment verifications and other HR related processes. Counsels and/or disciplines associates as needed, through clear, calm and direct oral and written communications, in accordance with the guidelines established by the hotel.
Oversee the overall function of the ADP System including, but not limited to all PAF data entry, separations, report generating, and other related ADP functions. Responds to and negotiates on behalf of the hotel, all claims for unemployment.
Supervises departmental and hotel staff regarding all issues relating to worker's compensation to endure minimum exposure by the hotel to related expenses.
Assists in or prepares periodic reports relating to the Human Resources function (e.g. EEO, labor turnover, payroll analysis, operational budget) through the use of a moderately complex computer system and written reports.
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS:
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.
Assists in the recruitment, selection and training of new personnel, utilizing internal and external sources/programs to attract and train qualified candidates.
Assist in the administration of all associate benefit programs, assuring timely processing of all related claims and associate awareness of available benefits.
Assist Training Manager in the development of all hotel personnel by developing or using
pre-determined programs and/or instruction staff in the skills and techniques required to perform their job in accordance to the standard determined by the corporation or the hotel.
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
Considerable knowledge of Federal/State labor laws.
Working knowledge of Federal and local regulations relating to OSHA and worker's compensation.
Basic mathematical skills necessary to analyze reports, forecast, and prepare budgets.
Ability to effectively deal with associates and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger, resolve conflicts and collect accurate information.
Ability to type to prepare correspondence and meet deadlines.
Ability to travel to training sessions, hearings etc. held in the local area.
Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing, in the English language.
Ability to supervise/direct both subordinates and non-subordinate personnel.

OTHER DUTIES:
Assimilate into Trump National Doral Miami Cultural Foundation through understanding, supporting and participating in all elements of the Trump Cornerstones. Demonstrate working knowledge of the service standards.
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required when performing work duties that may have the potential of risk to your health or safety. The hotel will provide the required PPE. Associates will be trained in the proper use and care of any assigned PPE. It is your responsibility to report defective, damaged or lost PPE, or equipment that does not fit properly, to your Manager.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
EDUCATION
High School graduate or equivalent preferred. Additional training and education is highly desirable.
EXPERIENCE
Requires 5 years administrative support experience.
Experience with MS Office applications and Outlook required.
Previous work experience should include working in a high-volume environment.

None required.
