Job Description

To assist in managing and directing of all Housekeeping and Laundry functions. To participate in quality assurance for Housekeeping department and department cost control measures. To provide support to the executive Housekeeper in all areas of the Housekeeping Operation. To ensure Omni standards are met in all areas by monitoring quality assurance, and consistently setting a good example.


  • Provides courteous, personalized, attentive, sincere, consistent Guest Service by responding promptly and efficiently to inquiries, request & Complaints using Guest Service Skills. Exhibiting hospitality while striving to exceed Guest expectations.

  • Resolves difficult or unusual problems arising with Guests, while maintaining good Guest relationships, demonstrating outstanding hospitality through the corrective action taken.

  • Maintains open and clear communication with all departments and guests to ensure consistent service.

  • Identify ways of improving the efficiency and effectiveness of our service to guests by actively participating in the Omni Service Tradition program.

  • Assists Executive Housekeeper with all of the following departmental functions and concerns: assist with opening and the PM shift, maintaining turnover to an acceptable level, maintaining uniform control, purchasing and issuance, guest requests, monthly meetings, quality assurance in public space and guest rooms, linen and supply inventories, purchasing linen and supplies when needed, assist with scheduling, kronos and payroll cost controls.

  • Monitor Housekeeping inventories to ensure adequate levels are maintained.

  • Maintaining close communication and interaction with Front Desk and Engineering departments, reporting all maintenance issues.

  • Inspects the cleaning and servicing of all guestrooms, and inspects all vacant rooms on a daily basis.

  • Prepare and complete all reports needed. VIP's, Due-Out's V/D's etc.

  • Identifies all cleaning defects and reassigns them to the responsible GRA. Completes a full inspection form for each GRA and forwards them to the Executive Housekeeper on a daily basis.

  • Responsible for overseeing the Housemen, ensuring that they are working appropriately with GRA's, and that they are completing all daily housemen duties/special projects.

  • Overseeing the Laundry Department and all of its functions.

  • Participates in energy conservation efforts.

  • Respects Hotel property and work areas by keeping them clean, well maintained, stocked, and properly stored.

  • Eliminates waste of supplies.

  • Assists in maintaining Omni standards of cleanliness and a consistent guestroom/guest experience.

  • Assists in maintaining a highly motivated and trained staff that continually strives for excellence, in service and cleanliness.


  • Prior Housekeeping Supervisory Experience in Hospitality.

  • High School Diploma or GED / College Degree preferred.

  • Must be highly motivated and have the ability to Multi-task.

  • Must be able to work independently.

  • Must have the ability to lead, motivate and develop others.

Position Summary The Assistant Director of Annual Giving will be dedicated to supporting a comprehensive fundraising program for Dornsife Advancement. Reporting to the Executive Director of Annual Leadership Giving, the incumbent will work with advancement staff across the university in annual giving, major gifts, planned giving, corporate and foundation relations, reunion programs as well as gift processing and stewardship. The Assistant Director will maintain a portfolio of annual leadership level prospects (giving capacity of $1,000+), lead the development, coordination and execution of direct mail, e-solicitation and giving day campaigns across USC Dornsife as well as provide support for revenue generating strategic activities facilitated by Dornsife Annual Giving on behalf of affiliated departments, centers and institutes. The incumbent will also serve as the primary communications liaison and project lead to a robust annual giving program for USC Shoah Foundation, one of the many institutes housed in USC Dornsife. The Assistant Director will be responsible for content development, campaign management and all aspects of project execution related to USC Shoah Foundation Annual Giving. The mission of USC Shoah Foundation is to develop empathy, understanding and respect through testimony. Dedicated to the collection, preservation and dissemination of interviews with survivors and witnesses of the Holocaust and other genocides, the institute works to share the powerful messages and lessons in these testimonies with people around the world in order to counter hate through testimony-based education programming, multimedia resources and digital tools. The successful candidate will be an analytical thinker who possesses exceptional communication, writing and organization skills, an acute attention to detail, a talent for crafting creative, poignant and impactful messages as well as demonstrated success in project management, execution and timely delivery for multiple projects at a given time while working in a high volume, performance based environment. Job Responsibilities * Provide fundraising services for USC Dornsife, USC Shoah Foundation and other affiliated academic units, centers and institutes * Plan, organize and coordinate assigned fundraising programs and projects * Expand the base of annual donors * Identify, engage and cultivate prospective donors * Solicit, secure and steward gifts of $1,000 or more * Generate revenue for college funding needs and priorities * Develop content, messaging, and branding that aligns with campaign themes as well as strategic goals and priorities * Draft informational, marketing and fundraising collateral and mass solicitations * Conduct campaign performance and market analysis, assessment and evaluation * Develop and maintain positive relationships with current and prospective donors, academic departments, staff, faculty, college institutes and centers, university partners and volunteers * Interact with other university departments, as required * Establish and maintain donor records and accounts * May plan, organize and coordinate special events and activities * Attends professional meetings and seminars to enhance professional competence * Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
