Central Connecticut State University invites applications for a full-time Assistant Director of Grants and Funded Research in the Office of Grants and Funded Research. This position reports directly to the Grants and Funded Research Administrator. The Assistant Director is primarily responsible for administering the University and CSCU system funded Grant competitions and conducts Research for Faculty grant opportunities.

Grants & Funded Research (GFR) was established to help support CCSU faculty members' efforts to secure internal and external funding for faculty activities. Grants Funded Research supports all pre-award activities as well as collection of final reports.

Position Profile
This position assists the Administrator with the operations of the GFR Office to provide an effective resource for the faculty and staff of CCSU in securing and administering internal and external funding through grants in support of institutional goals and priorities. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with prior experience in research and grant funding administration. The successful candidate will be expected to communicate with faculty in various departments, oversee faculty review meetings, maintain accurate records, keep current with guidelines and funding criteria and provide technical assistance to applicants, including conducting workshops. In addition, the position performs searches for external funding opportunities to support faculty initiatives and disseminates opportunities and Requests for Proposals. This position is administrative and is not involved in grant writing.

Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
Experience and Training:
Three (3) years' experience in research and proposal development funding.
Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with faculty and students.
Ability to organize and maintain data using computer systems
Credentials and/or experience substantially comparable to the above may also be considered.

Compensation and Employee Benefits
The Assistant Director of Grants and Funded Research is compensated at the Administrator III salary level in accordance with the State University Organization of Administrative Faculty (SUOAF) Collective Bargaining Union Agreement.
