Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Business, Computer Science, Public Administration or related field

• Minimum ten years of relevant experience

• Minimum of three years' supervisory experience

• Advanced degree may be substituted for two years of experience

Key Job Duties:

• Supervises a team comprised of customer service professionals and a grants administrator

• Conducts analytical research for various department operations, functions and programs; manages special projects including research, analysis, and policy development as directed by the Director of Development Services.

• Provides overall direction, assists, and monitors the preparation of the budget for all Development Services Department divisions and assists Central Building Services (CBS) when needed.

• Supervises the administration of grants including the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG).

• Directly works with grantors such as the United Stated Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

• Provides management and oversight of the grants programs and ensures full compliance with Federal, State and City regulations, policies and procedures, reporting, and audit requirements.

• Prepares and provides various reports and presentations to City Council, Council Committees, external organizations and other public groups.
