Position Information
Position Title Assistant Director of Fraternity & Sorority Life Banner Position Number 000835 E-Class NC - Nonclassified - .53 or > Department Fraternity & Sorority Life
Under the general director of the Associate Director of Student Life, the Assistant Director plans, coordinates, implements, and executes multiple initiatives related to the advisement, education, and support of the University's fraternities and sororities and their chapter operations.
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities include:
Understanding of student development, identity development, intersections, and complexity of social identities, particularly for IFC, NPHC, and PHC fraternity and sorority members.
Demonstrated commitment to equity and belonging.
Demonstrated experience in program and event planning, peer education, evidence-informed substance misuse and hazing prevention, and behavior change theory.
Understanding of the unique needs and support demands of members of IFC, NPHC, and PHC fraternity and sorority members.
Strong commitment to a vision for fraternities and sororities being safe, successful and sustainable.
