What We Are Looking For

Baylor University is seeking two Assistant Directors for Fraternity and Sorority Life to serve as either the primary advisor for the Interfraternity Council, the Unified Greek Council, and two local fraternities, or, as the primary advisor for the College Panhellenic Council, the National Pan-Hellenic Council, and one local sorority. Both Assistant Directors will support the overall FSL area with contributions to all councils, events and processes.

A Bachelor's degree, one year of work experience, and an active Christian faith are required. A Master's degree and three years of relevant work experience are preferred.

All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on full-time basis.

What You Will Do

  • Engage chapters by actively assisting each group as they work through chapter/council specific issues; providing necessary administrative support and infrastructure to guarantee their holistic success.

  • Provide initial and ongoing training/support for all council student leadership, officers, and advisors.

  • Manage and implement the recruitment/intake process for councils and chapters.

  • Communicate with national headquarters personnel and external affiliates on council/chapter matters and provide semester and annual reports.

  • Educate councils/chapters on university compliance policies regarding recruitment, new member education processes, student organizational policies, and program/event regulations.

  • Coordinate and provide final approval functions for the online roster, event, t-shirt, and flyer approval processes for all council organizations.

  • Create meaningful relationships, be an advocate, and help identify resources and support systems for FSL projects and processes (i.e. expansion, community programs, and collaboration with campus partners).

  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission.

  • Ability to comply with university policies.

  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
