An Assistant Director of Food and Beverage is responsible for assisting in the direction and organization of activities and services of all hotel food and beverage outlets (restaurants, lounges, room service, coffee shops, etc.) in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

What will I be doing?

As an Assistant Director of Food and Beverage, you would be responsible for assisting in the direction and organization of activities and services of all hotel food and beverage outlets (restaurants, lounges, room service, coffee shops, etc.) in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Assist in the management of all Food and Beverage operations to include, but not limited to, guest service, food and beverage quality, inventory management, outlet reservations and occupancy, systems management, budget and forecasting, marketing, report generation, department management and meeting participation and facilitation

  • Monitor and develop team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision and professional development, scheduling, conducting counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition and reward

  • Develop and implement menus and food and beverage marketing strategies in partnership with the Director and the culinary team

  • Monitor and assess service and satisfaction trends, evaluate and address issues and make improvements accordingly

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards

  • Recruit, interview and train team members

What are we looking for?

  • Two or more years of experience in a Food & Beverage Management role, overseeing one or more restaurant outlets

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for coaching teams, and interfacing with guests

  • Ability to analyze numbers, and assist with P&L oversight

  • Prior experience with employee scheduling, inventory management, and purchasing

  • Understanding of Micros or similar systems

  • Open availability to work varying days and shifts as business requires

  • Prior experience working for Hilton is strongly preferred

  • Union hotel experience is strongly preferred

  • Candidates residing locally are strongly preferred

As a Bellperson/Shuttle Driver, you would be responsible for transferring and storing luggage and responding to guest requests, driving guests to and from the airport and various locations in the property designated vehicles in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: * Drive property designated vehicles safely to and from the airport and other designated locations. * Greet and escort arriving and departing guests to and from their accommodations. * Retrieve and transport guest luggage. * Inspect guest rooms and acquaint guests with these rooms and their features. * Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner. * Organize and store luggage, as needed, according to guidelines. * Ensure that management/leadership team is kept fully aware of any relevant feedback from guests and/or other departments * Ensure messages and faxes are regularly delivered throughout the day * Assist with room moves, special luggage deliveries and/or pulls, and attend the main lobby and front door, as needed * Assist in the maintenance, appearance and functionality of equipment. * Must currently hold a Commercial Driver's License * Must be flexible with work schedule, working various shifts including weekends and holidays.
