Responsibilities:
The Assistant Director of Financial Aid assists with management, planning and administration of a full range of need-based financial aid programs. This position supervises the Financial Aid Counseling staff and maintains policies and procedures related to awarding federal and institutional need-based financial aid.
The Assistant Director is responsible for the Federal Work Study program and reconciliation of Alternative Loans. Additionally, this position reviews and processes financial aid applications, counsels students and parents, reviews and reconciles student accounts, performs verification of financial aid forms and evaluates student appeals. This position supervises six full-time employees and performs other duties as assigned.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
Two years of experience in financial aid administration
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree
One year supervisory experience
Experience with the Federal Work Study Program
NASFAA Professional Credentials
Experience with Peoplesoft
Background Screening Statement:
